How to Change Your Qlynk Username and Public AI URL

Learn how Qlynk username changes work, what happens to your public AI link, and what to update after choosing a new username.

5 min read

Your public AI URL is no longer permanent

You can now change the username connected to your public Qlynk Agent from Account Settings. The new username becomes the address at qlynk.site/your-new-username.

This is useful when a name, brand, role, or public identity changes. Because the address is public, Qlynk adds a confirmation step and a cooldown to reduce accidental or repeated changes.

How to change it

  • Open Account SettingsGo to the Public AI URL section in the authenticated dashboard.
  • Enter the new usernameUse 3–30 lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, or underscores. Reserved and already-taken names cannot be used.
  • Review the warningConfirm that the old URL will stop working immediately and that another change will not be available for 30 days.
  • Confirm the changeAfter the update succeeds, open the new public URL and test the agent.

What changes immediately

The new qlynk.site username URL becomes active and the old username URL stops resolving to your agent. Qlynk does not automatically redirect the old address, so links outside Qlynk need to be updated.

Your account, configured agent, approved knowledge, rules, conversations, and website-widget installation stay associated with the same owner. The change is to the public username and hosted URL.

Where to update the link

  • Social profilesReplace the old Qlynk URL in profile links and link-in-bio tools.
  • Email and documentsUpdate signatures, proposals, PDFs, QR codes, and saved templates.
  • WebsitesUpdate ordinary links to the hosted Qlynk page. The widget embed snippet itself does not need to change.
  • Shared messagesSend the new URL to people who may have bookmarked the previous address.

Choose carefully before confirming

A username should be recognizable, easy to type, and stable enough to keep. Check spelling and surrounding links before confirming because the 30-day cooldown starts as soon as the change succeeds.
